
Calling this tool 10 inches is a misnomer because that is the width. depth matters. In my experience, depth is a much more important attribute of such a tool. The usable depth is maybe 3 inches (not measured). For me, it's seldom deep enough to fully delineate the required cut, and when it does, it's pretty much useless. I'm not recommending people not to buy such a tool, just make sure it's deep enough for the kind of projects you're expecting.
