I had a problem with my fan on my 2006 Dodge Stratus SXT. When the selector was set to '1' or '2' it didn't work at all, but settings '3' and '4' (high) worked fine. So the AC was too cold on level '3' so had to turn it on and off. lame. I read online that replacing this resistor would solve the problem and it did. The installation took about 15 minutes. Simply unscrew the plastic nut under the back of the glove box and remove the brown wadding. Then locate the resistor and remove the two screws that hold it in place. Squeeze the red clip on the connector and it can be disconnected from the wiring harness. Insert a new one, slide the red clip and screw it in place. Install the batting and you're done. Now the fan works correctly in all settings. Cheap and easy to repair yourself.
