We put this on our 60lb black dog so we can see it better when we go for a walk in the drizzle/light rain. It seems a little difficult to wash, the dirt is not easy to remove, but it is mostly on the tummy. It definitely helps keep his back and chest dry so it reduces his dehydration. It was a little tricky at first to hook the leash onto the bottom of the straps, but we managed. If you tie the dog to the collar, there will be no problems. We kind of thought the back elastic straps running between the legs to keep the coat in place would be uncomfortable, but he hasn't complained yet.
