I have ChiaoGoo circular needles in other sizes and lengths (both red and red tip) and I find them to be excellent circular needles. When I saw the 9 inch round loops I decided to give them a try. I knitted a pair of brioche socks (from Knitting Brioche Socks: 14 Easy Patterns for Tube Socks) with a set of red 40 inch ChiaGoo socks. circular needles and kept dropping YO at the end of the needles. These knitting needles solved my problem for years and significantly reduced the time it takes to knit a sock. They take a little getting used to as they are so small. People with normal to large hands may find them difficult to use (my extra small hands work in my favor this time!). The connector and cable are similar to other ChiaoGoo circles, but due to the short length, they don't feel as flexible. The needle is just under 2 inches long and has a fairly sharp point like other ChiaoGoo needles.
