Review on Crafter's Companion A20501 Alumilite High Strength 3 Liquid Mold Making Rubber, 1lb, Pink by Amber Perez

I love making cube shapes. The very first one I've ever made was with Alumilite Amazing Mold Rubber and it was awesome. Of course I had high hopes for this product from them. I was terribly disappointed. I figured this would be the best shape as it needed to be a bit softer and more flexible. The end result was actually softer and more flexible. However, the first batch I mixed didn't even make it into the molding box. I followed the instructions in the letter and then placed the mixed gum in my degassing chamber. The whole process probably took around 10-15 minutes. When I took it out of the chamber, it was already hardened. Since the packaging clearly says "pot life 40 minutes", I naturally assumed that I might have mixed it wrong or something. So, frustrated but not afraid, I mixed up another batch. I started a stopwatch from the moment I combined the gum and catalyst in the mug to the time I poured it, including the time in the degassing chamber. All in all it was a little over 5 minutes. It was already compacted when it was removed from the chamber. I thought "okay, I'll water quickly." However, it started to clump before I was done. I'm not sure if it was mislabeled (although the label clearly says it's High Strength 3) or if it was just a bad batch. But I will return leftovers for a refund.
