Received this mat today. Feels great underfoot - synthetic fibers are MUCH softer than wool rugs and the sheen is great! You may have noticed some photos in other reviews where this colored rug looks lighter and darker. I would like to point out that this has to do with fiber type/pile cut. If you want it to look lighter, turn the rug so the lighter side faces the entrance of the room. If you prefer darker tones, turn to the darker side. I took photos both ways to explain. 👍🏼👍🏼 Overall great value for money! UPDATE: It's used in the family/playroom - we've had it for over a year and a half now. The shine and softness it had was completely gone, but it did a very good job of hiding both blemishes and blemishes. I'm impressed with how well it holds up to kids, pets, and constant foot traffic! I would say that this rug can easily last for years in a high traffic area and I would buy it again.
