Like everything on it, my 07" 25hp Yamaha two wheeler reads perfectly. And it has a nice bright green screen when it's on and measuring the tachometer. Top rev and keeps max revs that can be reset. Very handy for checking the screw pitch with different screws.The only downside is that it is actually splash proof but what else can I expect for $22.I wrapped mine in plastic and taped it to the front lift handle as shown in the photo.This is my second first on my 4 stroke 9.9 honda this works just as well i recommend not buying the cheaper black ones at about $12 no backlight and no removable battery...they are pretty weak your rev counter won't read well with them.
