Review on πŸ•οΈ Cold Steel Spetsnaz Shovel: Ultimate Tactical Tool for Camping, Survival, and Outdoors by George Scoles

crappy craftsmanship

My biggest complaint about this list was the confusion as to whether a sheath for this trench shovel was actually included. It's not like this. The tool just arrived and the screws that attach the handle to the blade were installed at an angle so they don't sit flush and I'm sure there will at least be some blisters after digging out those screws. Everyone talked about that shovel like it was razor sharp. I would say this is grossly exaggerated compared to what I received yesterday. The shovel has a lot of burrs and the edge is not clean at all. I didn't find it spicy to be honest, but it does have an edge, albeit poorly finished. I can buy a damn good shovel at the local hardware store for the $18.50 I spent on it and get something that works. This special forces pioneer shovel looks like a mask, not an IMAO heavy-use tool. I would have bought it at an army surplus store if I had known that such low-end craftsmanship is the norm. I assume SA's quality control is at the bare minimum. This lack of attention to detail shows in the end product, which really makes a good paperweight. Of course I wouldn't bet my life on this instrument. I have yet to use the scoop so keep that in mind as you read my review.
