It's light, strong, sharp and gets what it needs.

The handle is dirty and the metal is a bit worn. He's super sharp and looks like he's going to hit. I would definitely buy it again. I might buy another one as a gift soon.

Great tool for shovels, shovels and trowels

Great tool. I keep it in my truck in case I get stuck or have to contend with someone on the road. The extra length makes it a little more practical, but doesn't detract from its effectiveness. The edges were sharp enough out of the box, but could be made better with a little sanding. The handle is straight-grained and securely attached to the shovel with two screws. Understandably, the longer handle isn't as maneuverable as the shorter Special Forces (SF) shovel, but if you ever really need to

  • Excellent design

Great little toolbox shovel

is a product purchased to replace a military style folding shovel that broke on the second use. It arrived on time and was exactly as advertised, the blade was sharpened on both sides, there was a slight burr on the edge but they cleaned up easily with a file in under two minutes, I'm not going to throw this shovel away, that is it used in my dirt truck, sand and the like, or when camping in primitive camping sites. The steel is much thicker than expected, wooden handles will do. Pending theโ€ฆ

crappy craftsmanship

My biggest complaint about this list was the confusion as to whether a sheath for this trench shovel was actually included. It's not like this. The tool just arrived and the screws that attach the handle to the blade were installed at an angle so they don't sit flush and I'm sure there will at least be some blisters after digging out those screws. Everyone talked about that shovel like it was razor sharp. I would say this is grossly exaggerated compared to what I received yesterday. The shovelโ€ฆ

End Times Shovel

Cold Steel seems to have always had a good reputation for their gear. This shovel is no exception. It was delivered and arrived quickly, everything is intact and gives a feeling of quality in the hand. I'll admit it's a bit heavy, but in a framed backpack you don't tell when you're in the mood. The edge is sharp for a shovel and could potentially cut you if you're not careful. It could also easily be used to trim small branches and possibly small seedlings. The shovel is also great for breaking

Pros
  • Easy to Read Control Panel
Cons
  • Definitely a Bad Product

Great tool for garden, landscaping and camping.

A versatile tool that has proven to be incredibly durable. I've had it for about seven years now and it's one of my favorite gardening and gardening hand tools. I have sharpened the edges and it holds the edge well. I've also swapped out the handle for a standard shovel handle a couple of times as it gets a lot of use and the handles don't seem to last more than two years on any shovel. The longer handle with a small, sharp head is a real power multiplier when you need to dig through invasiveโ€ฆ
