Review on πŸ•οΈ Cold Steel Spetsnaz Shovel: Ultimate Tactical Tool for Camping, Survival, and Outdoors by Juan Moncrief

Great tool for garden, landscaping and camping.

A versatile tool that has proven to be incredibly durable. I've had it for about seven years now and it's one of my favorite gardening and gardening hand tools. I have sharpened the edges and it holds the edge well. I've also swapped out the handle for a standard shovel handle a couple of times as it gets a lot of use and the handles don't seem to last more than two years on any shovel. The longer handle with a small, sharp head is a real power multiplier when you need to dig through invasive tree roots or hard clay. You can actually operate it with a longer handle, making it handy for cutting through thick grass or weeds when defining an edge or boundary. Tying the end of the handle together with wrapped wire (or duct tape in a pinch) allows you to dig into roots the size of a shovel head. Binding the end of the handle will slow down the deformation of the handle when you hit it with a hammer. The longer handle also provides greater reach and swing power, similar to an axe, allowing you to chop limbs with surprising efficiency. I posted some photos of removing a mature maple stump by digging it up. The blade shovel takes center stage and is great for digging around the larger roots to expose them and cutting through the smaller ones. I would recommend having two, one with a short handle and one with a long one. Purchase replacement handles from a hardware store and cut them to size if desired. Can't say I've ever used it for throwing or zombies, but as a sturdy gardening tool it's mutt.
