It's all about speed and depth.

Media could not be loaded. I bought them in April or March 2018 for a CNC router. I build all sorts of things out of them, but I bought these for detail work. Tip diameter 1/2 mm (radius 1/4 mm). They are very good for multiple applications as long as you don't cut too deep (1-5mm) and your cutting speed is not too high. My CNC machine uses a Dewalt dwp-611 milling machine. I typically set the cutting speed at 750mm/min and adjust the spindle speed to suit the wood or material being cut. For detail work I usually use hardwood (obtained from good quality hardwood furniture at a thrift store - don't buy freshly cut material unless you really need it). However, for hardwood, the spindle in my Dewalt is set at 4-6 (down from 1-6). If you try to cut 1/2 inch wood with this cutter in one pass, you will break this cutter in a minute. If you make the cutting speed much higher than 750mm/min it will become dull and possibly lose its tip during the first draft (and your quality will be poor). I know because I'm an amateur and have destroyed many beats (including this one) by learning those lessons. For the price these beats are well above average and you will get many projects from each of them, you can be patient and manage the speed and depth properly.

Pros
  • Cutting Tools
Cons
  • Very Expensive
