I am always wary of teflon coated cookware as the coating will peel off over time, no matter the quality, price or how carefully and conscientiously you follow the manufacturer's instructions. It's inevitable, and with some research and studies showing it's not good for you, I really doubt it. However, for me the end justifies the means. I'd rather use a small amount of Teflon over time than a lot of oil and grease every day. The non-stick coating is just one of those things that come in very handy when cooking certain foods when you don't want to add a lot of fat. I've been through a few T-Fal pots in the past and no matter how careful I try, it eventually gets stuck. Gentle cooking, preheating, non-scratch cookware, some oil, no scouring agents when cleaning, no stacking pots, cleaning right away, etc. will help. I think that's the perfect price for a replacement. Frying pans are especially useful as I use them for frying all the time. Reducing oils and fats helps me stay healthy. I don't put it in the dishwasher even though it's dishwasher safe. All in all, if you have them on sale, that's a great deal. PS I have used expensive high end nonstick cookware and they are all the same. They may last a little longer, but eventually they will stick. "Lifetime" guarantees are useless. They force you to send it back, inspect it and then just deny your claim so now you don't pay postage either. get something cheap Get this set. Plan to replace every few years. Don't be disappointed.
