I bought this gate to try to separate my two cats in my apartment (each has a special pet food that the other can't eat) and it worked well. The gate is very strong and looks very high quality (although my friends say it looks like a prison - I wanted to save money so I went with the black one). While one of my cats is too old to jump, the other is young and active so I was afraid she would just jump. The first night I hung a towel over her (I figured if she didn't know what was behind that she wouldn't try to jump) and she jumped right away. After I remove the towel, she has yet to jump over it. Pros: - very high quality - swing gates work very well - strong - does the job Cons: - I wish there weren't springs in the swing gates. , so I could just leave it open during the day (or it would be nice to use some kind of locking mechanism to keep it open). Anyway, a sailor friend of mine hastily put together a rope that I pull to hold it open, but it might look a bit silly in a nice house. In my circumstances, it would be nice if it didn't take so much force to open the door. I know it would be great for kids and dogs but I don't have either. All in all a great product.
