The altitude is great!

The height is large, but too high for the cat's cognitive dysfunction, intended for the stair railing in my house. I used it for one of the bedrooms to keep my mother's elderly cat outside. She has feline cognitive dysfunction. Since she can't jump as high as she used to, this goal helped her a lot. I can still close the room door. I have to endure her scratching the door, but that's better than using this room as a tray. A few more features of this gate: They are very durable and were…

This is a well made product and we love the way it looks

I just want everyone to know I made a mistake. The first goal I received I sent back thinking they weren't done right. At first glance, the door appears to be curved. There is a big gap at the top, it doesn't close and doesn't snap. I immediately asked Revane to send me another one and I returned this one. If I hadn't panicked but looked at the instructions and the tags attached to the gate I would have understood that this was by design! When you install and tighten the gate, the gap…

The description is a bit misleading about the dimensions

I have bought and returned many goals from Amazon. Even DreamBaby gates (the same but cheaper) come with extensions too. I wish I had been new to this before. I don't want to come back This is a good goal at 40 inches tall. I figured I could get an extra inch or so by using tension rods. No! The opening of the doorway is 33.5 inches. I could build something but there would be too much room on the ends for my 10 lb pup. I just ordered a 3.5" extender and hope it works. If it suits your needs I…

Perfect fit for my Irish Wolfhound

I am very happy with this gate. This is exactly what I need as a barrier for my Irish Wolfhound. It's strong, feels solid, very big, but most importantly, it's easy to open and close. I had no problems during installation, you only have to pay attention to the distance between the door frame and the edge of the door when tightening the tension washers. If the gate latch does not click, continue tightening the dials at the top until it clicks slightly. You can install it with the hinge side on…

Protects my cats well from swings

I bought this gate to try to separate my two cats in my apartment (each has a special pet food that the other can't eat) and it worked well. The gate is very strong and looks very high quality (although my friends say it looks like a prison - I wanted to save money so I went with the black one). While one of my cats is too old to jump, the other is young and active so I was afraid she would just jump. The first night I hung a towel over her (I figured if she didn't know what was behind that she

Gate suitable for small dogs only

We have been using this gate (B1124) for over two years now and it is holding our small dogs well. However, we do have a red healer mix (35lbs) who jumps gates constantly and started jumping almost from day one, can climb fences, has figured out how to open gates when they're not securely locked, and smashes into gates . , and the gate is so badly bent that the gate can no longer be fully opened in one direction. It no longer closes securely and small dogs can now open it if it's unlocked. I'm…

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW Great Goal

Best Children's Goal! We have 3 of these to control where our dogs go in our home. Here's what you need to know: - It's great for small children and animals as long as they aren't too noisy - We have 2 Chihuahuas and 45 lb Labs who do well. A friend brought a 3 year old who threw a tantrum and pulled the gate. I would not recommend this gate if you have a child or animal that exhibits power, weight or strength - you might consider building a wrought iron gate that bolts to the door frame - I…
