The height is large, but too high for the cat's cognitive dysfunction, intended for the stair railing in my house. I used it for one of the bedrooms to keep my mother's elderly cat outside. She has feline cognitive dysfunction. Since she can't jump as high as she used to, this goal helped her a lot. I can still close the room door. I have to endure her scratching the door, but that's better than using this room as a tray. A few more features of this gate: They are very durable and were installed in just a few minutes. Would I buy again if I ever need another room. Let's hope this doesn't happen.
