Review on Briggs & Stratton 4105 5-Pack Of 298090S Fuel Filter 150 Micron For Non-Fuel Pump Engines by Mark Lodge

The fuel filter has not been changed for 3 years so I decided to check it compared to these replacement filters. The outer shape is almost identical except for the color. The new one fitted perfectly and it only took me a minute to swap it out. One important thing to note, the screens appear to be different. The replacement red filters have a much looser mesh than the original filters. My original obviously has a lot of dirt in it, it seems to be letting a lot less particles through behind it. Not sure if this is intentional or if B&S is making these things cheaper. You can see how the red lets through a lot more light. These filters are designed for gravity mowers, so maybe they designed these filters for better flow? In any case, I'd rather have an exact replacement for the fuel filter.
