I can't tell it from the OEM filter on my Briggs & Stratton 28hp mower. I've only used one so far, but haven't seen any problems with it.

Fairly simple and reliable fuel filter. It seems that they can serve forever. If you have a fuel pump I would recommend a better filter. Otherwise they will do their job and prevent huge chunks of kryptonite from getting into your engine.

Very good filter in terms of filters. I want to mention one thing, not that it matters much. They are packed in a disposable bag, not a box. I just put them in a small ziplock bag, one filter per bag, to keep them clean. They work well though and I will definitely buy them again for petrol engines when I need more.

B&S packaged and looks the same as OEM parts but got five for two at Wally World. When installing I would inspect the fuel line and if it is clean and undamaged I would use a small pipe cutter such as a PVC pipe cutter to cut the line for installation. Yes you can use this on a lawn mower that doesn't have a fuel pump to filter out most things that might get into the fuel tank. Just be sure to use clamps on every connection.

The fuel filter has not been changed for 3 years so I decided to check it compared to these replacement filters. The outer shape is almost identical except for the color. The new one fitted perfectly and it only took me a minute to swap it out. One important thing to note, the screens appear to be different. The replacement red filters have a much looser mesh than the original filters. My original obviously has a lot of dirt in it, it seems to be letting a lot less particles through behind it…
