Boy, you'd think genuine Mopar branded parts would last the expected lifespan, but this part failed on the Jeep Grand Cherokee after exactly 13 months of use. I replaced the water pump and debated returning a different brand of Mopar and chose Mopar because I figured I would never have to deal with coolant draining and repairing ever again. not correct. Choose what AutoZone offers now. At least they give me a lifetime guarantee on their parts. I don't recommend at all. This week a terrible noise began and took the sickle. Take the belt off to check the idler pulley etc. and think "That's not that 'new' water pump." That's a water pump. The wave is very free and can move anywhere. Crazy.
