The thread is not American, metric. Threads not deep enough for long screws

These are good looking solid all metal knobs. Two concerns. If you find that you can easily unbolt and bolt on your existing knobs, note that the threads used to attach these knobs are metric, so your existing SAE bolts (likely 8-32 threads) will need to be replaced with the ones provided . screws. However, this is relatively easy to do if, for example, you need to use the longer of the two drawer screws provided, the thread depth in the handle is not deep enough, and the handles won't tighten. To use 14 of the 50 purchased it was necessary to purchase and use a tap to drill deeper. Very disappointing.
