Review on 🐻 Special Supplies Juice Bear Bottle: Squeezable Therapy Cup with Long Straws - Assistive Drink Container for Special Needs - Spill Proof and Leak Resistant Lid by Kenneth Stanford

Was skeptical but now very impressed

My 9 month old son has given up drinking cups of all kinds, even through straws. I even tried swapping out the Munchkin straw for a silicone straw, thinking the ease of sucking would cheer him up. *spoiler* no. We filled him with water in very small amounts from an open cup, but one day he decided he stopped drinking from bottles. An open bowl is a great skill to learn and practice, but he is developmentally unready to get fluids out of it all day. Juice Bear was recommended to me after my husband and I had many disappointed meals when I tried to convince the child to 'take another sip'. The difference with Juice Bear is night and day. He learned to use it after ONE meal. When I first started cheering him up with diluted juice, I focused on getting the straw to the tip of his tongue. Now he drinks water like a champ and won't be disappointed anymore. Hope this helps with his constipation issues! FYI, the plastic is very thin so it may not be dishwasher safe (we don't have one so can't say for sure). I thought that with the bear shape it would be harder to clean than it is now. It's on the pricier end of the sippers, especially when it looks so blatantly like someone just mailed in an old honey container with some aquarium tubing, but for the headache it saved us, it's worth every penny. It comes with 3 straws and the straws are easy to clean with a pipe cleaner. The straw was a bit difficult to insert at first, but the snug fit allows it to pull on that part of the straw without it slipping out of the cup and not leaking (unless you shake it vigorously (because straws don't altogether I would recommend and even suggest risking 3 packs as each cup is slightly cheaper in the long run.
