I bought this for a motorcycle trip so my husband and I could talk while riding in unfamiliar terrain. We went to Arizona and they were perfect for what we needed. We don't ride as a pair, we ride separately, so I have to say it doesn't have a very long range. So if you're around the corner from someone or more than 300 feet from another rider, it becomes sketchy in my opinion. It would be better if two people were riding a motorcycle. It worked for the situation we bought them for, but you get what you pay for. We've just never had them in all our years of driving but wanted to try a few. For our travels we need a higher quality long range intercom set. They performed as expected for the price we paid for them.
