Haven't had a chance to use it yet but I think it will do the job. The last one I had I've been using for almost 20 years and if I wasn't having a hard time I would still have it and it would still do its job. I've read that people have sheared off a bolt or thread, if you stretch a bit at a time and then loosen, twist and stretch again you shouldn't have bad results. My old one was used with a percussion gun in the shop for many years and never needed a new O-ring more than every 8 or 10 years.
