Ordered Thursday, arrived Tuesday next week. Packed in a large flat box. Upon opening the box, the backpack slid into a large box inside a clear plastic bag. The backpack was flat packed with no inner support sleeve to support the bag's shape or structure, which resulted in the backpack collapsing under its own weight when attempting to set it upright. There was no protective film on either clasp. Some metal eyelets, metal zippers, etc. were tarnished or scratched. Almost like it sat in a locker for a while before buying it. Normal quality leather. The grain is soft but lacks structure or support. The bag does not stand alone without filling or personal items inside. The leather has a satiny sheen which makes me think of a thin film or fabric that is applied to the leather during manufacture to make it more attractive. I don't think it's a problem but I don't like it because the skin looks like plastic. The inner lining of most backpacks is black, while the product image shows brown. The outer side pockets are lined in coffee brown. The inner pockets on the back of the backpack have a crunchy plastic texture that feels very bad. I believe this is to preserve the inner structure of the bags. There are a few raw edges where one of the sippers has been sewn into the pack to "fit" in front of the zippered pocket already sewn into the lining. One inner zippered pocket extends to the left and the other to the right. Strange. Both internal zippers have black plastic teeth with a metal pull. Good quality, they should have the same gold tone hardware as the rest of the bag. There are two smaller inner pockets on the front wall of the backpack. Each is finished with black plastic piping to seal the raw edges of the lining material they are made from. The two outer side pockets have gold-tone metal zippered teeth and gold-tone zippered pull tabs. The outer "hidden" back pocket under the straps has black plastic hooks with the same gold-tone zipper as the two side pockets. With a bit of fiddling, my iPhone 6 (with case) fits into each of the three outside pockets. . The iPhone 6 (with case) also fits into the two inside pockets with zips, as well as the pocket formed in between. An iPhone 6 fits only in the larger of the two smaller inside pockets at the front. The drawstring closure lever is a bit wide, which allows the knots at the end of the drawstring to be pulled through. I will sew the derailleur to fit more tightly around the laces. I have a feeling a backpack could fit a pair of size 9 men's adidas tennis shoes along with a paperback with some room in a pocket. I would say this is a great medium sized backpack bag for women. For my $23 purchase I would say it was worth my money but no more.
