110 Wire Feeder (MIG) welders have become very useful over the past decade. They've improved so much that now it's not at all difficult to see a welder repairing a railing with just one of them. However, anyone who uses them regularly can tell you that wire selection is important. The diameter of the wire that these machines come with is too large and will trip the switches and not heat up like it should. So I always buy a .030 and rewind before using a new machine. Quality is very important and I have always bought reels of a specific brand in a pound. Then I saw this wire at Revain and couldn't stop by for the price. I had to try. Now, three years later (moving a number of times and bumping into him while sitting), I put it on. It is excellent. Better than my previous brand. A very good connection indeed. I also weld 2" x 1/2" bar stock so obviously it's not perfect, but it's a decorative project so it's fine. I cleaned it but didn't warm it up, and it still ran solidly at a steady pace with no splatters or stumbles. I've been certified for 30 years (3g all arc positions 7018 and 4g flat and horizontal flux are the most accurate of my docs here) and I'll buy this wire whenever I can find one.
