Everything is connected!: Welding equipment

The wire came in a nice strong Mylar bag and was fresh as a daisy! Just last weekend I ran out of a Lincoln reel and put this in and was amazed by the clean welds, smooth feed and the "bacon roast" sound that good wire and settings make. The client was also satisfied, the welds broke off. excellent and polished to a high luster. Spatter was minimal and scraped off easily. Great price, great cable, you can't go wrong!

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Great cable for the price.

I finally had a chance to try this wire and am very impressed. I made rebar mesh for a smoking project I've been working on and so far this is the best wire I've run through my machine. It flows smoothly through the torch, welds cleanly with minimal spatter and does not form excessive flux on the weld. I definitely plan on using it again when this roll runs out.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Not as clean as Lincoln

I am not a professional welder but have been welding for over 20 years. I've always used generic shielded cable, including this one, and had no problems. I ran out of wire halfway through the project and bought Lincoln wire at a local store. Holy cow. The difference was incredible. The welds were less porous with half the amount of slag. From now on I'll spend a little more and buy Lincoln flux wire.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Good wire but not exactly what I was looking for.

Overall a good product. I bought this for my Lincoln ProMig 140. It doesn't fit on the axle like the 1lb spools - not sure if there is an adapter for a larger spool or not. Many people commented that it provides a very "clean" weld. I didn't notice any difference in the finished product compared to the Lincoln brand wire I used, but I did notice that this wire created MUCH more spatter at the same heat and feed settings. Be very careful when welding overhead with this material.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Has been damaged

Be. So a coil of wire.

I am a certified arc welder. I know how to connect molten steel puddles. Wire feeding is pretty easy for me if I have clean wire with some flux. I ran this from my forney on 1/8" mild steel and thought they sent me a regular core reel with no flux. the quality of the previously ordered Natasher reel. It appears to contain only half the required amount of flux and is made from unsorted scrap metal. Crazy in the Garage E71T? That's quite a bold statement.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Low repairability

Excellent flux core.

110 Wire Feeder (MIG) welders have become very useful over the past decade. They've improved so much that now it's not at all difficult to see a welder repairing a railing with just one of them. However, anyone who uses them regularly can tell you that wire selection is important. The diameter of the wire that these machines come with is too large and will trip the switches and not heat up like it should. So I always buy a .030 and rewind before using a new machine. Quality is very important…

Pros
  • Durable Coating
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous
