Review on High-powered Goldenrod Electric Trailer Winch: 3000LBS Max Load Capacity by Branden Type

Our previous electric Dutton Lainson worked well for six years and I didn't see our exact replacement model so I ordered this one which claims to be the same specs. I found that the single battery cable from the battery to the winch was too short for our GMC double cab and long trailer tongue, so I had to connect the new winch connector to the old cable. The main issue is that this particular winch couldn't do the job of moving our 4000# boat less than fifteen feet within the 4 minute operating limit and would shut down two or three times which isn't great on a busy ramp . I suspect a defective motor, so I don't want to judge the product. Ironically, our temporary backup winch is a 2500# D/L hand crank, which my son and grandson used excellently to raise the boat.
