This stand is very solid, easy to adjust and all the parts and handles feel well built and sturdy. And if you don't need a lot of height (over 40 inches), this stand is perfect for use in small, tight spaces. I bought this stand to replace a regular sized tripod stand that was taking up a lot of space and floor space. B. in my home studio office. This stand is perfect for what I need most: picking up small combo amps and acoustic instruments that I play while seated. The only negative is the base that screws on. Functionally there is nothing to complain about. it works very well. it's tight, stays in place, heavy and strong. But it's not the type that folds up for storage, which I'd prefer. But that's not enough for me to give it less than 5 stars. Given the quality and flexibility it has at this price point, I highly recommend it.
