I have used both espresso and keurig coffee makers and a french press to make morning coffee but they all fall short of chemex for making great coffee. Yes, it takes a little longer to pour water over the ground beans several times, but it's worth it. Too many things in life require instant gratification, but we must learn to take our time and appreciate life. Chemex takes patience and time, but the end result is a great tasting coffee. Also, I only use whole beans and coarsely grind them just before brewing, so I'm not sure how finely pre-ground coffee beans will work in this system (probably fine, the process brings out the flavor of the beans) and I recommend that too.
