When the plastic yoke to my $1000 Bose aviation headset broke after 10 years of use (no complaints, it’s a great product) I was unable to replace the part for the headset as Bose has discontinued this model (X-10 I believe). I was able to find a "maker file” that some other smart guy had designed and forwarded the file To my nephew who has a Creality 3D printer — which I had bought him as a high school graduation present. My nephew is a talented 3-D modeler with hundreds of hours of 3-D printing experience. He recommended this specific filament to print this part. It was important that it be rigid and strong, but also able to handle to the high temps common to my cockpit in my airplane on hot summer days.I’m pleased to say after a full years use, the part has held up well and has not failed despite the high temperatures in the cockpit and regular use. This was the Right Stuff for this print job. We’ve printed several other parts and the filament works well, has good uniformity. Its a few dollars more that the cheap stuff, but will save your money in the end.
