Review on 🌬️ Ultimate Magnetic Windshield Cover - Fits All Vehicles, Keeps Ice & Snow Off, Magnetic Edges, Extra-Large Size by Alberto Brewster

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Works great when applied to a completely dry surface.

Too big for my 1997 Volvo 850 but does the job. When looking for ice cover you basically have to choose between 2 groups - group A only covers your windshield, they have a variety of ways they need to stay in place, the downsides are they don't cover your wipers and they are not always safe. Group B covers a lot more, but gets you through the complicated dance of attaching, sanding, holding some car doors open while some are closed, etc. I've used mine all winter and it definitely helps, it's just not very fast, yeah to say when you shoot and there is snow and not just ice, some of it is still falling on the windshield and on the wipers and you need to apply ABSOLUTELY DRY and to ABSOLUTELY DRY ground. I came home late one night before a blizzard and it was snowing/sleet so I dusted the windshield and put it on. Two feet of snow fell and the temperature dropped below zero. I had to remove most of the snow so I could lift the thing, and the tarp froze to the car and windshield because of moisture that had accumulated underneath. It's not torn but won't last many more times, and it's also big and needs to be hung outside somewhere. So if you just have a tiny shared porch like me, there's nowhere else to go but in a pile against a building. I will say that the magnets and hinges are well made and can withstand strong winds. 2019- docked 2 stars, magnets scratched the paint horribly and I am very upset. It was fitted and fastened correctly and didn't budge in windy conditions, wherever the magnets touched my car they scratched and they never hit the painted surface. I do not recommend cases with magnets.
