Review on πŸ”¨ Ultimate Precision with the Freeman SF16 15 2-Inch Straight Finish Nail Gun by Ellington Gardner

Revainrating 3 out of 5

no deal for unassembled fasteners

First, the nail boxes were packed in another box that was filled with bubble wrap. Not enough to stop heavy nail boxes from moving. As a result, one of the 2 (1000 nails) transparent plastic packages was torn during shipping, and about half of the nail strips were "broken" into 5 and 10 nail pieces. A real pain to load the track on the Paslode trim gun which I recently bought. Second, I had a lot of misses or misses with these nails, most of the time one of the three would go blank, and for a while it was every other pull of the trigger. When finishing windows and doors, this is unacceptable. I took the nails off the rail and sprayed silicone on the rail thinking it was friction but it didn't help. Eventually, after more trying, I bought another box from a big store, thinking it was a pistol; It wasn't a pistol as they shot perfectly. Then I realized the price difference was less than $2 per thousand. Despite all the inconvenience these nails have caused me, they are no bargain. I have bought other nails including 16 ga 2 inch nails and they have worked great. I will not be buying these 2-1/2 inch nails again. I pay 2-3 bucks extra and enjoy the project I'm doing.
