DO NOT buy this item. I installed it (easy) and haven't had any problems for months. One day a passenger accidentally walked in and when the door closed the car lost all power (dash, console, everything) and didn't even turn off until I waited about 10 minutes. , buttons and key fobs didn't work. I thought hmm weird not sure what it was. No check engine light, nothing. After restarting the machine, everything seemed fine. A week later it was raining and I was leaving friends at night and I had to roll down the windows to cool down and suddenly the windows didn't work and the headlights in the car didn't work. I drove home in the rain with the windows down for over 30 minutes. Restarting the machine did nothing. The next morning the car was fine. Yesterday I went to turn on my way home and everything shut down with a "key not found" error on the dash. I lost all the lights (including the brake lights I think because the man behind me slammed on the brakes!) and I had no press, no power steering, nothing. Luckily I knew and had experience with cars to understand that I had steering and braking issues and stopped. Then the car wouldn't start for about 10 minutes. Based on some other feedback I checked for ground hum/bad noise as well as light flickering, yes it was there. I ripped it out and today there is no problem at all. The loss of brakes and power steering at over 70mph was terrible and this product should not be sold.
