It arrived, I removed the plastic that prevents the battery from touching and . Nothing. I took off the batteries. Cleaned up what looked like corrosion, put the batteries back in and voila. It works out. There was another review that said the clip fell off. The clamp on this device is held in place with a screw. Does not rotate to remove. You simply loosen the screw and the clip comes out. One battery is held in the clip and the other in the thermometer. It's as if the company is listening to its customers and making product design changes based on feedback. This is a new idea.
