Does what it should. It's a little thick. It's definitely easier to mount the tire straight than with glue, but mounting the tire on the rim was tricky because the tape doesn't fully adhere to the tire until you peel off the backing. However, no comparison. Glue is much better and much cheaper! Is that enough for a bike? Indeed, the advantages of glue are that you can mount and remount tires simply by applying a fresh coat of glue once or twice before having to take them off! This stuff is disposable and you need two boxes to attach two tires to the rims! When purchasing the CX brand, a full roll of 10 wheels is $25. And gluing is better IMHO. But I prefer glue!
