I bought colored straws for a little visual flair and also because I have narrower clear glass straws that I didn't want to mix up with. I like it. I use 4 straight smoothie straws with my Nutribullet and have never had any problems. Regular plastic straws have suction issues and will bend inward if you accidentally slip strawberries into your smoothie. There are no such questions! And the ruffled straws go great with my large 24 ounce Tervis mug. If you rinse them before the smoothie solids stick to the inside of the straws, you can even put them in the dishwasher. But you're probably better off just using brushes to clean out their innards.
