First of all I bought it because it's half the price of a Dyson filter kit. Also, since the Dyson fan shows air quality status, I figured I'd know if it was working or not. It fits "well enough". Not perfect and therefore I cannot give 5 stars. The top curves a bit, and it took me more than a couple of clicks to snap the fan cover just enough to keep it from popping out. I live in Northern California and right now it's burning from all the lightning strikes. The air is terrible, smoke everywhere. We don't have air conditioning and this filter cleans the air very well. I have 2 other Dyson fans with the original filter and this one works the best. I have to see how long this lasts. Even if it lasts 4 months (the original Dyson has about 8), I will buy it. Honestly, I hate that Dyson is charging so much for filters. then shipping costs apply and then shipping takes 2 weeks!
