Used to restore the defrost function in a 2002 GE Profile Arctica side-by-side refrigerator. After the evaporator froze behind the back of the freezer for the second time in two weeks, I realized the problem wasn't ONLY my family and guests leaving the fridge doors open. Thanks to some YouTube videos I've found that the thermistor on the top of the evaporator can create an open circuit when measured between pins 4 and 5 when the wiring harness is connected to the main control board. For less than $6 and a few hours of my time to defrost the coils and replace that thermistor, I avoided the unnecessary purchase of another expensive refrigerator. Check out youtube guys.
