I return to Crayola Crayons for my adult crafts just as I have trusted them for the art and painting of my children and now my grandchildren. This recent purchase was for glass ball Christmas decorations and I was very pleased with the results. I break the crayons into small pieces and put them in the glass bowl. Then I heat the chalk with a hair dryer and the chalk melts - I know this is not a traditional use! The melted colors are then swirled into the glass decoration. I then repeat this with different colors until I have a mixture that I like and no two knick-knacks are the same. Crayola crayons are perfect for this activity. They melt evenly and smoothly. There are no lumps or foreign particles in the chalk, the pigments are saturated and the colors are very bright. The balls cool quickly and the chalk inside cures evenly and smoothly, leaving a really nice finish that won't crack. Thanks to the quality of these crayons, the children will enjoy coloring while mum is busy making Christmas decorations. - and I think they turned out really well! I highly recommend Crayola - great selection, great quality and very versatile!
