Limited keyboard/mouse support

I'm a software developer and sometimes work from home. I have a gaming PC with a Corsair Vengeance K70 keyboard, a Steelseries Rival mouse and a 32" 1080p LG monitor. I need a KVM switch so I can switch between my work laptop and my desktop without swapping cables. I've used cheap VGA KVM switches in the past and didn't want to go down that route again. I had some trouble getting my keyboard and mouse to work at all with this device. The only way I was able to get the K70 keyboard to work was to put it in BIOS mode, which disables all advanced features. This also caused the scroll lock LED to blink endlessly. My mouse also didn't work at all in the mouse port. I had to connect it via the AUX USB port on the K70, which connected to a USB 2.0 port on the device. This meant I couldn't connect any other peripheral to the unit. I decided to return the product because I had to give up too much. In general, this is a decent device. everyone's needs with a simple USB keyboard and mouse. Pros: - Keeps connection active while switching - HDMI picture quality is fantastic - Comes with all cables CONS: - Limited keyboard and mouse support - Power cord only about 15 inches long - Very loud beeping sound when switching port
