I bought this pencil sharpener for my class because it reminded me of the pencil sharpeners we had at school when I was little. The month worked flawlessly, the pencils sharpened quickly and effortlessly. Then the handle came loose and didn't stick to the mechanism that rotates the blades. Fixed a bug that caused the metal collection tray to detach after a week and not stay on the pencil sharpener. This wasn't really a problem because I mounted it vertically so the metal bay just sits loose. A few days later, my students tell me that the pencil sharpener isn't working. I remove the metal tray and when I try to turn the handle the blades don't turn. The handle rotates but the blades don't. It's not because the handle isn't tightened enough, because even after tightening, the blades still won't rotate. I take the pen completely off to see if I can fix it and the screw that attaches the pen to the sharpener looks like a cracked and possibly defective screw because it has a cut. I bought this pencil sharpener because it has very good reviews and it's a well-known brand, unfortunately it didn't fit my class.
