I have only used it as an isolation tank, certainly not as a breeding tank and certainly not as a quarantine tank. I currently have a killer snail caged in and it works fine. The design is preferable for me and my pelvis, with regular control and compliance with positioning, no one will drown in it, and rescue is possible only when numerous and powerful suction cups fail. There have been INCIDENTS in the past of three "special" Glofish Danios sitting behind a fish tank and pressing themselves against the side wall of the fish tank and practically suffocating there, which is no fun. The bottom is removable and can sometimes do just that if messed up too much. The splinter inside seemed to cause more problems than it solved and my betta one day managed to slip past the splinter and swim into the bubbler tube, scrambling around like crazy at times to see if yours fish lives. Trial and error and survival of the fittest i say now everyone in the tank gets it and because suicide fish aren't expensive here but if you have any problem makers maybe just install another full stock tank you might not have the time nor that money for trial and error.
