Review on Ives Schlage 230B15 Sliding Door by Michael Powell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good brass weight. on Sliding Door Hardware

This handle has a nice brass weight. It took me almost an hour to carve the door frame to fit. I recommend sharp chisels, a slow pace, and lots of patience. I took my time and the hole turned out great. Be patient with screws. They are number 6 and must be hand carved during a lengthy customization process. The instructions didn't help much. The entire rod has a clear finish similar to brushed nickel plated brass with a steel spring. It doesn't have a reaction lever that can be pushed to pull the handle out. It must be taken from the tongue below, which is in a small recess. I had to fold back the bottom tab to make it a little easier to grab the train. Overall it works as intended and is a good weight.

Pros
  • Sliding Door Hardware
Cons
  • Big and Chunky
