Much more space than I expected

I bought this because I was looking for the best secure phone mount. What I got was a bag that is a little bulky despite not getting in the way. It seems very solid and well made, but I'm not sure why I don't like it as much as I thought I would. I would. I think maybe the expectations were a bit too high. Maybe design issues I don't really like but for some reason I'm not sure I would buy this again. I have two different bikes and am trying them on. My first bike is a mountain bike which I use off-road and the bag seems to hold up well most of the time, but I found it curled up a bit after a hard ride. it's getting pretty hot in here and I've noticed that after about 12-15 miles of driving my phone is pretty hot, in other words it's hot. The pocket doesn't have much ventilation so I have to leave it partially open to keep my phone from overheating. The bag itself has enough space for everything you need, keys, wallet, phone, even bike tools and the like if you don't have a seat bag. I think my take on this is that if you want it to do things well, it would be better suited to a commuter bike. That's where I use it now, and I seem to have decided where to use it. I've seen smaller ones that are a little more contoured and a little less bulky or look like they're on a bike. I'm not sure how much room there is in the bag, but I think next time I'll go for something less obtrusive. Because in the end, it's better to look good. form over function. I do not know. It's not very expensive compared to what you can find at your local bike shop. I think I saw a Bontrager bag at our local Trek store that was $45. So. Much luck. And don't forget to ride a bike today.
