Not suitable for wet grinding. falling apart.

Unfortunately this product falls apart quite quickly. I would like to read other reviews before I buy. It's literally impossible to use when the sand gets wet. (I haven't tried dry so can't tell how it works there). I think if you scratch lightly on a small area you can absolutely use this (if you use it wet use an integer part for a 1x1 area, this is no joke, even then you will have very inconsistent results, i definitely spend money on 3m if you are wet sanding and using it for something important). The drilling thing, I don't know what it's called lol, and then I wanted to finish my job with wet sandpaper to remove the residue in places I couldn't get to with tools. I took my spare off my 9 year old Taoma and decided to clean and rattle the rusty can before painting my real wheels the color I wanted to use. So first I had to test the application of the products and also see if the color I chose matched the subtle gray that standard steels have. My regular wheels aren't terrible, the light rust on the edges and back is pretty bad. The spare part was horrible as it was the worst, it was a great way to try everything. I cleaned it with machines as best I could and went to use the thing and it fell apart as soon as it got wet. It definitely cannot be used when wet. I had 1 pack of 3m 120 to 4 or 600 and a pack of 60 3m so I ended up using that and it worked great. The color I used was duplicolor silver specifically for the wheels (it has a wheel on the front and says "wheel color"). I used a rostoleom gray high temp primer and decided to clean it up with duplicolor matte clear coat which is also listed for wheels. There was so much of that silver color (don't really know about the color) but the metal bits or flakes, whatever it was, looked really nice. I'm putting on 3 coats of each just because it's going to sit there for a while so I want to see how it holds up for a few months before hitting my real cart. Anyone who has tacos with steel wheels can clean them.
