Review on ๐ŸŽฒ Compact and Convenient: Pendleton Backgammon Travel Ready Roll Up Game for Gamers on the Go by Tom Roberts

Nice and beautiful

Nice set but there are design flaws. First, it's a little smaller than I expected, but still usable. Unfortunately the position of the bolt is a bit crooked and on one side of the board the bolt goes straight into the playing surface. Therefore, the chips have to be placed around the bolt with this dart. It would also be nice if the straps were completely removable. Instead, they're sewn in and get in the way when you're trying to lay out the board for play. We usually place a bag of checkers over the straps to keep them from twisting across the board, but when we do this the pressure on the straps lifts that end of the board. So the chips slide down the slope at this end. Overall, these shortcomings make the game a bit awkward. On the plus side, the canvas material is nice and heavy enough to be unrolled (except for the pinned end, as mentioned). And the tokens appear to have a solid finish. If they made the board a little bigger and sew the straps onto the pocket instead of the board that would be perfect.

Pros
  • NICE GIFT: It's an easy gift for the holidays, housewarming, Mother's or Father's Day, and for recent graduates who are embarking on a new adventure, or for people who love to travel and camp.
Cons
  • Some issues
