They are MUCH better in every way than the polyurethane filter I replaced. The Brita is stronger, much more compact and the water definitely tastes better. In addition, the "Change filter now" indicator is much easier to read and is mechanical, not electrical, so you don't have to burn out a built-in and inaccessible light bulb after a few months.
