Review on ๐Ÿ” Cuisinart GR-11 - Multifunctional Grill, Panini Press, and Griddler by Chris Horton

It's worth the price

We originally had a Sunbeam grill which we used for chicken and sandwiches which worked well but for cleaning it was flatbread as nothing got wet . I held it sideways under water to wet the records, but nothing more. He eventually stopped working; probably got wet but not a big deal since I got it on a freebike. It was a replacement, I just needed one to remove the panels with. At first I was a little disappointed with the size as I thought almost nothing would fit, but I was pleasantly surprised. We use it for EVERYTHING! Three boneless chicken breasts fit perfectly, two huge hamburgers, three Italian bread sandwiches, a very thick porterhouse, tons of food, and everything is cooked to perfection. Everything is well fried and juicy inside. The only thing I killed on it was 2 New York strips but they were very thin which I don't usually get and I didn't think about how long I left them in as opposed to my usual 2" thick steaks I've never used it in the open position. The lack of an on/off switch didn't bother me, nor did the lack of a temperature sensor. The set temperature seems ideal for everything. The hinge works well for thicker ones picking up items. I agree with other reviewers that the lid isn't heavy but that's not a problem. Everything bakes evenly. For sandwiches that I want to press on I put an old cast iron on the lid and on the handle and it works great for adding the weight needed A foil covered brick would also work, a local Cuban uses it for his abs Removable panels will be perfect cleaned; They come out easily and nothing sticks. I use soapy water and a paper towel to clean them so my sponge doesn't get dirty. I never put them in the dishwasher because I don't have one. Sometimes you have to wiggle to reattach them if the end slips into little clips then put them back in place and press and they snap into place, if you don't hear three clicks they aren't set properly and you try once again. People who write that the plates fall off are either planted incorrectly, or they have a defective product and have to send it back. The drip tray works very well to catch any dripping grease. I only recently discovered that there are little feet to angle the surface to help the grease drain better, silly me I should try using them :) I use a damp paper towel for the body of the device but it will not really dirty, dusty if i leave it on the counter. It takes up little space, so I usually put it in a closet. The cord is about a foot long. I've had it since April 2015 and use it at least twice a week sometimes 3 or 4 times a week and it works just as well as it did when I first started. The grill couldn't be better, I highly recommend it and will buy another if it breaks tomorrow.
