I installed these lifts and they work well on my 2006 Lexus LS 430. The trunk now rises more easily and closes without banging. installation instructions. Mine had clips and removing the clips on the old one was easy once I could place a small screwdriver in the right place. You place the blade at the back of the bullet end (closest to the inside of the barrel) and pry. Look at the new jacks to see where the screwdriver goes. Installing the first one was easy - just turn it on. The second elevator seemed 1/2 too long. I struggled with this until I could lift the decklid with enough force to gain an extra 1/2 inch, at which point the lifter worked. If you have this problem, I recommend having an assistant lift the lid so you can guide and open the lift.
