Essential tool for cutting granite countertops

This knife was used to cut store bought granite countertops to size. After measuring the desired cutting lines and marking them with blue masking tape, I used this blade to trim off the excess (1 to 4 inches). First mark the desired cutting line. Masking tape helps to see the line you want as there is a lot of fine dust when cutting. After several passes, cutting about 1/16 inch into the granite on each pass, the cut line was fairly well defined. Then I carefully and slowly cut along and across the profile of the leading edge (since it's thinner it's prone to tearing). columns) and a trailing edge that hits the wall - any unexpected breakage during the remainder of the cut should leave the finished top intact. I then continued cutting the material as before, removing 1/16" to 1/8" on each pass. until the disguise comes off. This disc has enough abrasive material on the side to use the side of the blade to smooth out small imperfections in the cutting edge as well as any other defects before final polishing (if needed). If you are cutting a worktop to size I recommend keeping the worktop in its original packaging as it provides the best support when cutting and is a good support if you need to polish an edge after cutting. two walls, this blade allows you to trim corners and bevel the hidden bottom edge of the worktop to prevent it from catching too much on the walls. Just be careful not to bevel the underside of the leading edge/profile. I also bought a grinding wheel that removes a lot of material quickly - this wheel is better for removing less material at a time and preparing for polishing. Overall this is a good cutting and finishing wheel.
