Not good for the price.
These don't work best on large exotic goldfish, but probably work well on smaller ones. This reduces the amount of ammonia, but they don't last long for the price you pay. You'd better go to the pet store and buy a $12 ammonia reduction filter pad, which is huge, and cut it down to size. You could probably get 30 from the pet store.
